Today on Video Marketing Madness: Setting Up a YouTube Channel 2020
-The YouTube channel art and icon are essential. If you don’t have them, you won’t get all the tools and be able to verify your channel. Canva is a free tool for doing channel art.
-Make sure you enable the channel within the YouTube account.
-Add sections on the home page. Typically they are playlists you have created. Include citations in the playlists.
-Fill out the “About” section and include a citation. Add an email address and links: website, Facebook, GMB, LinkedIn, appointment link, etc.
-Come up with a channel name that describes what you do
-Phone verify the channel
-In the creator studio, go to “Settings” and enable everything like custom thumbnails, YouTube Live, and the branding watermark. Ray uses a subscribe icon for the watermark. Fill out keywords and location and connect to your website. Set up defaults if that will work for you
