Using Videos with Google Business Profiles

Today on Video Marketing Madness – Using Videos with Google Business Profiles. Ray and Steve talk about all the ways videos help your YouTube channel rank.

YouTube videos are a great way to get more Google Business Profile (GBP) links and citations, but properly optimize the title and description. The Gather Up Google Review chrome extension is a way to get the Google Maps link with the CID number. Also, add links to 5-star reviews to your videos. Be sure to upload videos to your GBP, and use the Google Street View smartphone app to add a 360 video to your GBP. And upload images and geo-tag them. GeoImgr (https://www.geoimgr.com/) is outstanding for geocoding jpegs.

You Need to Green Screen

Today on Video Marketing Madness – You Need to Green Screen. There are times when you need to green screen and Ray explains how.

For the background, remember there is green screen paint and a full wall is great. But if you don’t have that, there are portable rigs. Ray has a pull up screen that is portable. For lightning, use a key and fill, two lights on the green screen and a back fill for your head and shoulders. Smartphones work great for the camera and most video editors can handle green screening.

YouTube Channel Optimization
-The YouTube channel art and icon are essential. If you don’t have them, you won’t get all the tools and be able to verify your channel. Canva is a free tool for doing channel art.
-Add sections on the home page. Typically they are playlists you have created. Include citations in the playlists.
-Fill out the “About” section and include a citation. Add an email address and links: website, Facebook, GMB, LinkedIn, appointment link, etc.
-Come up with a channel name that describes what you do
-Phone verify the channel
-In the creator studio, go to “Settings” and enable everything like custom thumbnails, YouTube Live, and the branding watermark. Ray uses a subscribe icon for the watermark. Fill out keywords and location and connect to your website. Set up defaults if that will work for you.
