Field Mics. Use a lapel mic. A mic that plugs into your camera is best. Know your camera connection so you get the right stuff. Audio Technica has a good lapel mic for $40. KV Technologies has adaptors for smartphones. Ray sells a really good smartphone mic at PocketVideoPro.com

If you go wireless, you need to spend about $300 so you don’t get interference from other devises. This is especially important in the field.

Hand held mics work too – wireless and wired

Shotgun mic – Ray likes Azden.

Podcasting, screen captures and voice over work. Blue makes very good USB mics that plug into your computer. (Blue Yeti, Snowball, etc.). Their mics average $100 – ready to go

If you want a professional broadcast mic, be prepared to spend $750.00 to $2000.00 for the mic and processing gear. Brands include Heil, EV and Shure. Go to Broadcast Supply for these mics.

Live videos on Periscope, Snapchat, etc. are smartphones. You can use the earpiece as a mic.

3. Shotcut. Very functional video editor with green screening and filter. Very good import and export tools

4. EasyAnimatorPro. Very easy to create animated sequences like logos. (You’ll need an editor.)

a. VideoMakerFX and Explandio. Both VideoMakerFX and Explandio do white board animations and explainer videos. Explandio is a bit more functional

b. VideoScribe – Whiteboard animation maker…Works on iPhone and iPad –

c. Vidgeo – Cloud based animation maker. You can import videos into it and add animation and interactive elements

Easy to set up and use for Mac or PC. You’ll need a screen capture program on your desktop like Camtasia. Cam Studio is a free screen capture program. Shotcut has screen capture built in and it’s free.

MAC only – Screenflow will transfer the image from your iPhone or Ipad to you MAC desktop and record the desktop screen.

There are traffic videos to and conversion videos on websites. Do your keyword research, even with FAQ/SAQ videos. Start the video by stating you understand the problem and then provide a solution. List an example, then give the cost and if you can, provide a guarantee with a sense of urgency. . Create lots of answer videos for the backend of the website.

Misc. Stuff: Use YouTube Cards with timely offers and swap them out as needed. Use YouTube Ads. Create coupon related ad videos for Facebook. Do retargeting videos and email videos.
